Automaker Mercedes-Benz has long established itself as a luxury car brand. Although the brand was established earlier in Europe, Mercedes-Benz USA has seen monumental success and growth since its 1965 inception. By 1957, the automaker was able to take the plunge into the North American market and open a distribution center in the United states, partnering up with Studebaker-Packard for a distribution agreement to market to US customers. The partnership ended eight years afterward, allowing Mercedes to grow and further its reach throughout the US and establish a smooth, luxurious image amongst auto buyers nationwide.
Mercedes was able to pioneer numerous features we see in automobiles today, such as belt pretensioners, the crumple zone, ABS, ESP, airbags, PRE-SAFE, and plenty of other features that have made the Mercedes driving experience safer and more comprehensive.
Mercedes-Benz eventually grew to build 356 associated dealerships nationwide that employ more than 21,500 people. Mercedes has also spread its reach with various distribution centers that employ more than 1500 employees.
