Other furniture covers are made from vinyl. A thermoplastic polymer, vinyl or poly-vinyl chloride (PVC) is a human health and environmental threat that is toxic in all stages of its lifecycle.

PVC production involves large amounts of dangerous chlorine gas, as well as vinyl chloride, a dangerous carcinogen. Because we care about our customers and the environment, we have chosen to use products without these harmful chemicals.

PVC covers are also connected to dioxins, environmental pollutants that accumulate in the body over time and are of concern because of their highly toxic potential.

At EmpirePatio we do not use any vinyl in our materials and all of our products are PVC free and Dioxin free. Instead, we offer three types of environmentally responsible materials for our covers:

StormBlock™ Signature and Platinum Collections – Machine-woven Polyester with StormBlock™ Treatment

Our heavy-duty 600 or 1200 denier polyester material provides environmentally friendly protection from the elements that lasts for years. These collections are made using machine-woven polyester (no vinyl or PVC) that is treated with StormBlock™ a hydrophobic, dioxin-free waterproof coating to keep your patio furniture dry, your family safe and the Earth looking green. With unique positive airflow vents on the sides, trapped moisture will evaporate right out so you won't have to worry about harmful mold, mildew or rust growing underneath the cover.

Select Collection – Machine-woven Polyester Material

Our 300 denier polyester material is vinyl, PVC and dioxin-free for responsible covering. This material also provides superior UV protection and prevents fading and discoloration from the sun's Made from machine-woven polyester that will keep your patio furniture dry, your family safe and the Earth looking green. With unique positive airflow vents on the sides, any trapped moisture will evaporate right out so you won't have to worry about harmful mold and mildew growing underneath the cover.

Classic Collection – Three Layer Spun-bond Polypropylene

Our three-layer spun-bond material is breathable and contains a high-quality UV stabilizer to protect your cover from breaking down under extreme sunlight. The two outside layers are UV treated, with a waterproof interior layer. The three-layer protection coupled with the spun-bond material ensures that it is both waterproof and breathable. This durable material is also non-abrasive, so you won't have to worry about your furniture getting tarnished.
