About JEEP WRANGLER SUV Covers

It's a Jeep thing and if you don't understand that by now, either you've never driven one or you don't pay attention to bumper stickers.

The Wrangler's storied history begins in 1940, when America's imminent involvement in WWII necessitated a four-wheel drive reconnaissance vehicle to replace its aging fleet. American Bantam Car Company churned out a blueprint and cost estimate in just five days, but lacking sufficient manufacturing power, the design was given to Willys and Ford. They went on to produce hundreds of thousands of Models MB and GPW respectively using the familiar slotted grille and round, high-mounted headlights.

After a post-war trademark battle, Willys began selling the CJ (Civilian Jeep). Willys merged with manufacturer Kaiser in 1953, which was bought by AMC and renamed Jeep Corporation in 1970. AMC was acquired by Chrysler in 1987, and the Jeep Wrangler has been sold ever since.

Besides inspiring the entire SUV category, the Wrangler has found a passionate audience among history buffs, outdoorsmen, DIY-types, and others who think a little differently. But whether Sport, Rubicon, Sahara, Unlimited, or special edition, they can ALL depend on EmpireCovers for Wrangler car covers that protect their vehicles against damaging sun, wind, and precipitation.
